History

Woodward & Co started life in 1988 under the name of ‘Woodward & Co (Midlands)’ undertaking the design and build fit out of large format department stores for C&A. Over time this expanded to other retail Clients and the banking sector.

Through natural growth the company expanded its workforce and client base whilst building and maintaining a reputation for great service and quality.

In 2004 the company went through an internal management buyout and subsequent name change to ‘Woodward & Co (Environmental)’ setting about achieving steady organic growth and building a strong name within the industry.

Throughout our 30 year history, we have operated with the same ethos which is to forge long lasting relationships with clients, provide an unrivalled service with a positive attitude and employ skilled engineers with a sound knowledge of mechanical services engineering across the spectrum.

Whilst we have extensive experience in both the retail and leisure sectors, including the demands of the fast track nature of this work, we are also fully able to cover all manner of commercial projects, including offices & warehouses.

In 2016, our sister company ‘Woodward & Co (Fire Protection)’ was formed working alongside our mechanical division to provide a complete turnkey solution to the design and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems.

Our engineering staff have over 200 years combined experience, affording us the ability to approach projects with an extensive level of knowledge and experience.  We are passionate about what we do and this is demonstrated in the level of service we offer.

Our office teams cover all aspects of contracting including Design & Build. By utilising our in house design engineers we can provide our clients with a service from conception to completion. Our site teams constitute a hugely important part of this by delivering high quality installations, which we are proud to put our name against. We have an enviable supply chain which is fully committed to providing the same service.

We operate throughout the entire United Kingdom and Ireland undertaking projects of all sizes and values up to £4m.
